BUSINESS GREENING ASSESSMENT
This is a self-assessment tool for measuring the level of business greening. The tool tracks measures implemented in the business greening process. All you need to do is answer the questions in the "BUSINESS GREENING ASSESSMENT" section by marking your answer with YES, NO, or N/A (not applicable).
Upon completion of the responses, a report is automatically generated showing your business entity's level of green operations and recommendations for further business greening improvements.
The self-assessment tool is designed for micro, small, and medium enterprises, as well as entrepreneurial and craft workshops from the manufacturing industry sector. However, its application is possible in other economic sectors and organizations from the public and civil sector interested in green transition and business greening.
The business greening self-assessment tool is part of the project materials for building SME capacities for business greening and can be used exclusively for educational purposes.

TRAINING MATERIALS
The training material for small and medium enterprises and entrepreneurs was prepared based on research conducted from June to August 2024. The research results are consolidated in a research report titled "Business Greening - Analysis of Skills Gaps and Training Needs of Business Support Organizations and Small and Medium Enterprises in Serbia" (hereinafter: Analysis).
The analysis of skills gaps and training needs summarizes the findings of a comprehensive training needs assessment and serves as the basis for developing a customized training program for business greening and adoption of green business practices. This analysis is based on research aimed at evaluating existing capacities and identifying skills gaps and training needs for business greening. The target groups of the research include business support organizations (BSOs) from Serbia and North Macedonia and SMEs from Serbia and North Macedonia operating in the manufacturing industry sector (food industry, wood processing, metals, chemical products, textile production, clothing, leather processing and footwear production). The SME scope includes entrepreneurial and craft workshops.
To validate the research results, focus group workshops were organized with representatives of business support organizations and representatives of small and medium enterprises in Serbia and North Macedonia. The purpose of these workshops is to familiarize participants with the research results and confirm the findings of the training needs assessment in the field of business greening.
As a result of the Analysis and the work of the focus group workshop participants, it was defined that the training for business greening of small and medium enterprises and entrepreneurs should be of a modular type, consisting of the following modules:
BUSINESS PLAN/STRATEGY FOR GREEN OPERATIONS
This business plan template or green operations strategy is designed for micro, small, and medium enterprises, as well as entrepreneurial and craft workshops from the manufacturing industry sector interested in green transition and business greening.
The purpose of this document is to establish a planning foundation for integrating green operations into development planning. The template is created as an analytical-planning document that tracks measures in the process of greening the business entity's operations. Its functionality and simplicity in application are possible in other economic sectors and organizations from the public and civil sector interested in green transition and business greening.
